Cornea Treatments
Cornea treatments are performed using various methods in the field of eye health. These treatments include corneal transplants, surgical procedures involving corneal tissue replacement, interventions to correct surface irregularities of the cornea, and various techniques used to treat corneal diseases.
Conjunctiva
Conjunctiva is a thin, transparent membrane that covers the white part of the eye (sclera) and the inside of the eyelids. It helps keep the eye moist, protects against infections, and shields the eye from external elements. When the conjunctiva becomes inflamed, a condition known as conjunctivitis occurs.

Microcornea
Microcornea is a condition where the horizontal diameter of the cornea is less than 10 mm in an otherwise normally sized eyeball. The cornea is the transparent dome-shaped surface at the front of the eye that refracts light to provide clear vision.

Keratitis
Keratitis is the inflammation of the cornea, the transparent dome-shaped tissue at the front of the eye. The cornea allows light to enter the eye and provides clear vision.

Cornea and Its Diseases
Cornea is the transparent dome-shaped structure at the front of the eye that allows light to enter and focuses it on the retina for clear vision. The cornea not only facilitates the passage of light but also helps maintain the shape of the eye and protects it from infections.

Keratoconus
Keratoconus is a condition where the cornea, the transparent layer at the front of the eye, progressively thins and bulges outward into a cone shape. This abnormal shape prevents the light entering the eye from being focused correctly on the retina, resulting in distorted vision.

Corneal Ring Implantation
Corneal Ring Implantation is one of the most reliable treatment methods developed for keratoconus patients. In this treatment, small transparent rings in the shape of a half-circle are inserted into the cornea. These rings are placed using a femtosecond laser to create a tunnel in the cornea, making the procedure very quick and free from complications. These rings are not noticeable from the outside and do not feel like contact lenses, providing great comfort for the patient. The rings can only be removed by a doctor if needed and do not leave any permanent marks on the vision center.

Crosslinking
Crosslinking is the only treatment method for keratoconus that involves applying UV-A light to the eye without any incisions or injections. In this procedure, riboflavin is dripped onto the cornea and then UV-A light is applied for about half an hour. This strengthens the cross-links in the corneal tissue, preventing the progression of keratoconus.

How Much Does Cornea Treatment Cost?
The cost of cornea treatment varies depending on the underlying cause and the procedure to be performed. The treatment plan determined by our specialist eye doctor after a detailed examination may vary from person to person.
